The unit of currency in Romania is "leu" which can be divided into 100 "bani". On the 1th of July, 2005, the Romanian National Bank introduced new banknotes and coins (redenomination). The Romanian leu (ROL) was substituted by the new leu (RON) in a ratio of 10,000:1. As of that date 10,000 old leu equaled 1 new leu.

Moldovita Monastery
The Moldoviţa Monastery (Romanian: Mânăstirea Moldoviţa) is a Romanian Orthodoxmonastery situated in the commune of Vatra Moldoviţei, Suceava County, Moldavia, Romania. The Monastery of Moldoviţa was built in 1532 by Petru Rareş, who was Stefan the Great's illegitimate son. It was founded as a protective barrier against the Muslim Ottoman conquerors from the East.

Putna Monatery
The imposing Putna Monastery is situated about 30 km northwest from the town of Radauti, near the Putna River. High, forested hills and wild landscape surround the monastery and the village with the same name. Stephen the Great built the monastery as his burial place between 1466 and 1469, and the Church of the Assumption of the Holy Virgin was consecrated one year later.
