But not only the ones looking for recovery are here at the right place. The amateurs of backcountry skiing will experience in the Candrel Mountains unique moments and will have the opportunity to admire breathtaking landscapes. You can enjoy the beauty of nature not only on skis but also on foot, if you opt for a hiking route in the Candrel Mountains, such us to the "Cibin" Gorges or to the "Candrel" Peak.

If you want to stay over, it`s recommended to leave Paltinis and rent a room in one of those good looking pensions you saw on your way from Sibiu. Staying in Paltinis for a while, is a bad idea. That’s because Paltinis is the place where all the teenagers from Sibiu go to get – for the first, second, and so on, time – drunk, laid and so on, so it’s noisy at night and not very clean. But if you like to party, stay for the discos, every weekend. Boys can meet girls and girls can meet boys. At 2000 m? Why not?
